A keyboardist and vocalist from New York, Alexandra Richman's first band was named St. John. St. John opened for artists such as The Allman Brothers and Rufus in Chicago, as well as Zephyr and Flash Cadillac in Boulder, Colorado. She recorded an album with Capitol Records featuring Ry Cooder on guitar, toured with Danny O'Keefe, performed and recorded with The Brothers Johnson, Ray Parker Jr., The Butts Band featuring Robbie Krieger, John Densmore of The Doors, and toured Europe with Curved Air.
Richman's style is mostly centered in blues with influences from classical music to soul, jazz, and classic rock. She has lived in several cities all over the United States and has most recently been living in St. Augustine. Nowadays, she performs with several local bands and performs as a trio with bass and drums, as a duo, or as a solo artist.
