On Saturday, April 2, 2016, USA Yoga and its sponsors will present the 2016 Florida USA Yoga Asana Championship. Welcoming competitors from any yoga school or style, this regional competition is divided into youth, adult, and senior divisions, with men and women categories in each age division. Competitors will be scored on balance, flexibility, and strength in up to six performed yoga postures. The first place winners in each division will be invited to compete in the USA Yoga Asana National Championship.
USA Yoga is a nonprofit organization devoted to the development and promotion of Yoga Asana as a sport. Each year, USA Yoga sponsors regional Yoga Asana competitions, as well as a national competition, with the mission to inspire yoga practitioners and encourage new participation in the sport of Yoga Asana.
