The St. Johns County 4-H presents the 4-H Pumpkin Stand Fundraiser at the St. Augustine Amphitheater on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Visitors can browse and purchase pumpkins harvested, prepped, and marketed by 4-H Youth to show their support for the St. Johns County 4-H program, a youth development organization operating with the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the University of Florida.

Many varieties of pumpkins and gourds are available at this fall fundraiser. We've described many of them below.

Admission: Free admission.  
When: Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.   
Where: St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located at 1340C A1A South, St. Augustine, Florida 32080.

About the Pumpkins:

  • Baby Bear: A small, round pumpkin often used for decorations and pies.
  • Blue Ballet: A type of squash used in culinary applications, known for its blue-grey color.
  • Musquee de Provence: A flat pumpkin from the south of France. 
  • Jarrahdale: An Australian favorite, popular as decoration or for purees and baking.
  • Porcelain Doll: A hybrid pumpkin with a distinct pink skin.
  • Seminole: Florida's versatile pumpkin, great for flavorful and comforting soups.
  • Gumdrop: A sweet, petite pumpkin used for decoration.
  • North Georgia Candy Roaster: An Appalachian winter squash suitable for pies, breads, and casseroles.
  • Flat White Boer: A popular choice for fall photos and Halloween decor.
  • Warty Gnome: A decorative pumpkin known for its bumpy skin.
