This weekend, at Flagler College's Ringhaver Student Center, as well as at the college dining hall, and a number of other locations in St. Augustine, the St. Augustine Archaeological Association is hosting the 65th Annual Meeting of the Florida Anthropological Society in St. Augustine, in connection with the statewide 500-year celebration of Florida's Spanish history. The theme, "Ponce to The Ponce," has been chosen in recognition of Ponce de Leon's 1513 landing and the location of this year's meeting in Henry Flagler's former Ponce de Leon Hotel which opened 125 years ago and is now home to Flagler College. Today there's the FPAN Board Meeting at Flagler College from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. and a downtown walking tour at 7:00 p.m. meeting at the Ringhaver Student Center. Visit www.fasweb.org/meeting for details of all the activities with times, to register: www.fasweb.org/docs/FAS2013REGISTRATION_FINAL.pdf, or contact Nick at [email protected] with questions.
