The Lightner Museum's inaugural Lightner Local exhibition features works by artist Antwan Ramar.
Growing up in rural Wisconsin, Ramar has always been inspired by nature. Though he started his career as a caricaturist, Ramar's work has expanded to show his love of travel, culture and people.
As a freelance artist, he has worked with international companies such as Royal Caribbean Cruises, Universal Studios and Pepsi.
Ramar's "Contemporary Impressions" exhibit, which will be displayed in the museum's East Room Gallery, features landscape paintings using historic traditions and techniques. During the exhibition, plein air studies will be showcased alongside larger studio works.
