The Aquabats at the Backyard Stage at The Amp

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre presents the Aquabats in a live concert on the Backyard Stage on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Active since 1994, The Aquabats is a high-energy, genre-blending band known for its colorful superhero costumes and action-packed performances. The lineup includes Gorney on piano and keyboards; Eaglebones Falconhawk on guitar and vocals; Ricky Fitness on drums, percussion, and vocals; Jimmy the Robot on keyboards, saxophone, woodwinds, and vocals; Catboy on trumpet, brass, and vocals; Crash McLarson on bass and vocals; Chainsaw the Prince of Karate on guitar; and The M.C. Bat Commander on lead vocals. Together, they create a fusion of pop-punk, comedy rock, ska, power pop, and new wave.

Formed in California, The Aquabats gained early attention with their 1995 debut album, The Return of The Aquabats, which developed a loyal fan base and propelled them into the mainstream. Their signature blend of music and superhero theatrics delivers a live performance that feels like a comic book coming to life.

Throughout their career, they’ve shared the stage with iconic acts like No Doubt, Sublime, and Blink-182. Beyond music, The Aquabats expanded their creative universe with The Aquabats! Super Show! an Emmy-winning series that led to further collaborations with networks like Adult Swim, G4, and Nickelodeon Jr., solidifying their place in music and pop culture.

The Aquabats' discography includes The Return of the Aquabats, The Furt of the Aquabats!, The Aquabats vs. the Floating Eye of Death!, Charge!, Hi-Five Soup!, Kooky Spooky... In Stereo, and their most recent album, Finally! 

Koffin Kats, Mike V, and The Rats will be guest performers at the event.

Parking Information: The Amp St. Augustine is located on Anastasia Island next to Anastasia State Park. Free parking in the Amphitheatre lot is available during all Backyard Stage performances.
