Arbor Day Tree Giveaway

Arbor Day Tree Giveaway is sponsored by the Garden Club of St. Augustine. Visitors are invited to pick up a FREE TREE! This tradition was started by the Garden Club as a "thank you" to the community for their support of the Christmas Tour of Homes put on in December by the Garden Club.

They will be giving away FREE bare root trees. Arbor Day is the third Friday of January and trees are given to the public to plant in their own gardens or yards. The Garden Club offers several kinds of trees including the Eastern Redbud, Red flowering Dogwood, the Dahoon Holly, Yaupon Holly and the Southern Red Cedar.

They will be offering the trees at two locations in St. Augustine:

- Northtowne (Winn Dixie) Parking Lot located at 3551 N. Ponce De Leon Blvd, St Augustine FL 32084

- Ponce de Leon Mall Parking lot located at 2121 Us Highway 1 S, St Augustine, FL 32086

Tree Care: All trees should be watered daily for two weeks after planting, and then every other day for two months, and then weekly until they are well established.
