The St. Augustine Ballet brings J.M. Barrie's much-loved story of Peter Pan back to the stage at Lewis Auditorium with three performances over the weekend of May 14-15, 2016. There will be two performances on Saturday, May 14, at 2:00 and 7:30 p.m., and one 2:00 p.m. show on Sunday, May 15.

The Ballet of Peter Pan is a spectacle of pirates, fairies, mermaids, and lost boys, all dancing to a lively music score that ranges from Bach and Beethoven to Native American drums and Irish jigs.

Daet Rodriguez will return as Peter Pan, and local celebrity pirate Captain William Mayhen will reprise his role as Captain Hook. Rodriguez trained at the National Ballet School of Cuba in Havana, and later danced with Cuba's Ballet de Camaguey and the Teatro Centro de Arte-Leon Febres Cordero in Ecuador. Rodriguez is currently Artistic Director of Georgia Ballet. Captain Mayhem is an experienced Las Vegas entertainer and Pirate Magician in residence at the St. Augustine Pirate Museum.

The multigenerational cast will include Harlow Hatin (13) as Wendy and Lily Clingan-Darack (17) as Tinkerbell. This popular St. Augustine event delights kids of all ages. The audience is encouraged to come in costume and to bring jars of Peter Pan Peanut Butter to donate to the St. Francis House Food Pantry.
