Volunteers lead a nature walk to discover birds that call the park home.

Anastasia State Park offers guided bird walks throughout the year where participants can learn more about Florida's native birds and ecology. The next guided walk is on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 8:15 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Led by a park volunteer and naturalist, this nature walk is open to participants of all birding levels. Anastasia State Park boasts a variety of shore, marsh, and hammock birds. The walk leads guests through the state park's beaches, boardwalks, and nature trails. Participants should dress for the weather and bring binoculars, water, comfortable walking shoes, along with their curiosity about Florida's wildlife 

The tour begins at the Island Beach Shop and Grill at the end of the main park drive.

Admission: The guided bird walk is free with regular park admission: $8.00 per vehicle with up to eight people, $4.00 per vehicle with one occupant, and $2.00 for pedestrians/bicyclists.

When: Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 8:15 to 10:00 a.m..

Where: Anastasia State Park is at 300 Anastasia State Park in St. Augustine, Florida 32080. The tour meets at the Island Beach Shop and Grill at the end of the main park drive.
