A Classic Theatre presents Good People, a play by David Lindsay-Abaire, set in Southie (Boston). The play runs from Friday, March 7, 2025, through Sunday, March 16, 2025. The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. on Fridays, 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, and 2:00 p.m. on Sundays.

Good People premiered in 2011 and was nominated for two Tony Awards. Frances McDormand, playing the lead, Maggie, won the Tony for Best Leading Actress in a Play.

Life is difficult for Maggie, a single mother with an adult disabled daughter and she needs to catch a break. Who will help and where will she find kindness? The play has been praised for its warm humor and realism.

Admission: Tickets are $25.00 for general admission.

When:  7:30 p.m. on Fridays, March 7 and 14; the twilight matinees begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, March 8 and 15; and the Sunday matinees begin at 2:00 p.m. on March 9 and 16, 2025.

Where: The St. Augustine Waterworks is located at 184 San Marco Avenue in uptown St. Augustine, Florida 32084. See below for directions by vehicle.

Getting There: While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only, so it is not available to access the Waterworks. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot, on the opposite side of the complex. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon in your GPS.)
