A Classic Theatre presents three special performances of "It's a Wonderful Life," a live radio play inspired by Frank Capra's Christmas classic movie, at the Pioneer Barn at Fort Menendez. Performances will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15, at 7:30 p.m., and at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 16, 2014.

Just as a broadcast on live radio would have been presented in the 1940s, the actors use their skills to bring to life the iconic characters George Bailey and the angel Clarence, along with all the colorful residents of Bedford Falls, through dialog and speaking style. Performed in front of a live audience, with the old-radio sound effects being produced on stage, the play was written by Joe Landry and is directed by Jean Rahner.

Cast in the role of George Bailey is Christopher Wilson with Guy Tillis as his guardian angel, Clarence. Playing multiple roles are Diana Black, Joe Marx, and Mike BonDurant. In addition to portraying several characters, Maria and Terry Burk sing some old-time commercials live. Sound effects are created by Foley artist Tom Mangan, while Stage Manager Kate Masters provides the musical transitions.

Admission: $20. To purchase tickets, visit here.

When? Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15, at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, November 16, at 2 p.m.

Where? The Pioneer Barn is located at 259 San Marco Ave. in St. Augustine.
