The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents singer, guitarist, and former frontman for Men at Work Colin Hay in concert on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 8:00 p.m. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.
Colin Hay is known to millions as the frontman, songwriter, and vocalist of pop band Men at Work, who produced a number of familiar hits, including "Down Under," "Overkill," and "Who Can It Be Now?" Since 1989, however, Hay has been working solo, with 11 critically-acclaimed albums, including Man at Work and his album, Next Year People.
Next Year People is the work of an artist at the top of his form, with songs from insightful to catchy but always open-hearted. Contributors to the album include two young Cuban musicians, San Miguel Perez and Yosmel Montejo, Larry Goldings on piano, Jeff Babko (Jimmy Kimmel) on B3, and Colin's wife, vocalist Cecilia Noel.
In recent years, Colin Hay's music has been on soundtracks in TV and film — TV hits such as Scrubs and Modern Family and movie soundtracks for Garden State and Words and Pictures.
