(904) 209-0367The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents The Dirty Dozen Brass Band on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, winners of OffBeat Magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award, has been electrifying audiences for more than 45 years. Formed in 1977 as the house band for the Dirty Dozen Social Aid and Pleasure Club, the group took on the club’s name and made it their own.
Blending traditional New Orleans brass with bebop jazz, funk, and soul, they’ve become champions of the city’s musical legacy with a fresh, genre-bending sound. The band features Roger Lewis on saxophone, Gregory Davis on trumpet, Kirk Joseph on sousaphone, Trevarri Huff-Boone on tenor sax, Stephen Walker on trombone, Julian Addison on drums, and Takeshi Shimmura on guitar. Davis, Huff-Boone, and Walker share credit for the vocals during performances.
The Dirty Dozen Brass Band's discography includes My Feet Can't Fail Me Now, Live Mardi Gras In Montreux, Voodoo, The New Orleans Album, Open Up: Whatcha Gonna Do for the Rest of Your Life, Jelly, Ears to the Wall, This is Jazz, Buck Jump, Medicated Magic, Down and Dirty, We Got Robbed: Live in New Orleans, Jazz Fest 2004, Funeral for a Friend, This Is the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Jazz Moods: Hot, What's Going On, Twenty Dozen, Live at Jazz Fest 2018, Live in New Orleans, and their most recent album, Live at JazzFest 2024.
