The Doobie Brothers with The Marshall Tucker Band

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre's 2015 concert season will open with The Doobie Brothers and special guest, The Marshall Tucker Band, on Friday, February 27.

The Doobie Brothers have earned countless awards over their long career, beginning with their multi-million-selling album Toulouse Street in 1971. Altogether, they have 3 multi-platinum, 7 platinum and 14 gold albums, and they have won Grammy awards four times. Their 1976 album, Best of the Doobies, has sold more than 11 million copies, making it a rare "diamond" record. They are known for their roots-based style, full of harmony and driven by the guitar.

The band opened a new chapter in its career when it filmed a CMT Crossroads special with country star Luke Bryan. They continue to build a relationship with Nashville, with a new country-based project in the works.  

The Marshall Tucker Band got its start in South Carolina, borrowing their name from a piano tuner whose name was found on a key ring where they rehearsed. From their start as openers for The Allman Brothers in 1973, the band went on to headline their own shows, with a platinum-plus debut album and numerous hit singles. During the 1990s, The Marshall Tucker Band had four hit singles on Billboard's country and chart and one on Billboard's gospel chart.

Admission:  Ticket prices are based on seating area: $79.50 for seated pit; $59.50 for 100 level; $59.50 for 200 level; $39.50 for 300 level for seats with obstructed views.

When? Friday, February 27, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.)

Where? The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located at 1340 A1A South.

Parking Information: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located on Anastasia Island next to Anastasia State Park and Recreation Area. There is very limited on-site parking so visitors must utilize accessible satellite parking facilities. Each satellite parking area is located within one mile of the Amphitheatre. Satellite Parking Lots are located behind RB Hunt Elementary, at RB Hunt Elementary and the Elks Lodge.

Shuttle Information: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre parking shuttle system begins its run one and half hours prior to show time. The shuttle will pick up event patrons at two designated shuttle stops & the soccer field behind RB Hunt Elementary School. Shuttles will run continuously until approximately one hour after the scheduled start time of a concert.
