The Annual Easter Promenade, a spectacle of outrageous Easter bonnets and costumes will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, March 31, 2024, at the gazebo in the Plaza de la Constitución.
Everyone is invited to join the fun as a spectator or participant at the Easter Promenade and costume contest. If you delight in wearing your Easter Sunday best or can't wait to create and wear a funny hat or costume, get suited up and join the promenade. Awards will be presented in various categories, including Most Creative Hat, Best Dressed Pet, Prettiest Hat, Best Dressed Couple, Best Dressed Man and Woman, Best Dressed Boy and Girl, Largest Family, and Family from Farthest Away. Prizes will be handed out at the end of the judging.
The Promenade is made possible by the St. Augustine Easter Week Festival committee. Royal Family members can trace their heritage hundreds of years back to St. Augustine's earliest days. Each year, they choose a queen, king, and princess to promote St. Augustine at Easter time. At the Promenade, the featured Royal Family members are costumed in historic garb.
Visitors are encouraged to come out in their Sunday best and stroll along the Plaza. The Easter Sunday Promenade is an annual event that takes place in the Plaza de la Constitución in the center of historic downtown.
