
Excelsior High School Centennial Celebration
(904) 824-1191The Excelsior High School Centennial Celebration, hosted at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center, presents three days of events honoring Excelsior High School—St. Augustine's first public school for Black children. Honor alumni achievements, Lincolnville's longstanding history, and the Civil Rights Movement. It will run from Thursday, June 19, through Saturday, June 21, 2025, with various activities held daily.
Event Highlights
This three-day extravaganza starts on Thursday, June 19, with a museum open house and the opening of the Excelsior Exhibit. An opportunity to mingle with other guests is available upstairs, accompanied by hors d'oeuvres, a cash bar, and live music.
On Friday, June 20, join a Harlem Nights Gala. It features a cocktail reception and dinner served afterwards. The event also includes guest speaker, Playthell George Benjamin, and live music by Amy Alysia and the Band.
Saturday, June 21, gathers everyone at the Reunion Homecoming Field Day. Hosted at St. Paul Park, the Field Day hosts an assortment of outdoor games—cornhole, dominoes, checkers, and a Bid Whist tournament—vendors, and food trucks. There will also be a Reunion Prom, including a DJ, food, and a cash bar.
