Family Opera Festival

St. Augustine's First Coast Opera presents the Family Opera Festival, a series of performances that are designed for the whole family, on select dates from March 30 through April 7, 2019. Performances will include three showings of The Trial of B.B. Wolf, one showing of Little Red Riding Hood, and one showing of L'enfant et les sortilèges.

First Coast Opera Artistic Director Curtis Tucker's The Trial of B.B. Wolf is a one-act family opera that puts the Big Bad Wolf on the witness stand to account for some of the mischief he's caused in his career, including destroying the property of the Three Little Pigs and murdering Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother. Ultimately, B.B. Wolf's fate is decided by a jury selected from the audience. Little Red Riding Hood was written by Seymour Barab and will be performed by the University of North Florida Opera Ensemble. Maurice Ravel's L'enfant et les sortilèges will be performed by Stetson University Opera Theatre.
