As part of its continuing Writers-in-Residence series, Flagler College presents a lecture and discussion by award-winning author and poet Laura McCullough on Thursday, January 22, 2015, at 7 p.m.

Laura McCullough has published numerous chapbooks and collections of poetry,  as well as fiction, essays and memoir. Her most recent books are Rigger Death & Hoist Another, Poems and her edited anthology, The Room & The World: Essays on the Poetry of Stephen Dunn.  

Her poetry, fiction, reviews and essays have appeared in The American Poetry Review, The Writer's Chronicle, Prairie Schooner, Gulf Coast, and Hotel Amerika, among many others. She was the founding editor of Mead: The Magazine of Literature and Libations.

McCullough teaches full time at Brookdale Community College. She has been a finalist for the Brittingham and Felix Poetry Prize, the Isabella Gardner Award, and the Frost Place residency and has been awarded scholarships or fellowships from Sewanee Writers Conference, Bread Loaf Writers Conference, and the Vermont Studio Center, just to name a few.

Admission is free.

When? The lecture and discussion will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 7 p.m.

Where? The Flagler Room is located on the Flagler College campus at 74 King St. in St. Augustine. (The Flagler Room is just off the main Rotunda on the first floor of the Ponce Building.)
