The 2nd Annual Food Truck Wars "with a Twist of Bacon" takes place in St. Augustine on Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 2 to 8 p.m.

40 food trucks compete during this event, with celebrity judges voting on their cuisine. Five awards are given out: the Bacanator Award, the People's Choice Award, the Top Sales Award, the Delectable Dessert Award, and the Casual Cuisine Award. Chef Jim Whaples, retired President of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, will be on hand with a crew of other celebrity chefs to help decide the winners.

This year's event includes a Battle of the Bellys, a beer and wine garden, plenty of live music, and a special Kids' Zone.

The food costs range from $3 to $18, with the average entree price from $6 to $8. Bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. Admission is free. Call (407) 296-5882 or visit here for more information.
