Hurricane Irma Relief Benefit with Joseph and Guest Liza Anne
(904) 209-3751The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, in partnership with Flying Saucer Presents, welcomes the sister folk trio Joseph and special guest Liza Anne in a special benefit concert to assist victims of Hurricane Irma. The concert will raise funds and gather food donations for those affected by the storm and will take place on Monday, October 2, 2017.
The Social Services Division of the St. Johns County Health and Human Services Department is working to restock the severely depleted food pantries of the area, and is asking for help from the community. Admission to the concert is now free with donations of canned food items and/or monetary contributions.
The band behind the benefit concert is Joseph, a Portland-based trio of sister folksingers Allison, Meegan, and Natalie Closner. When they were putting together their first album, Native Dreamer Kin, the sisters called themselves Dearborn, but their producer thought they needed something stronger. They happened on the name "Joseph" after a trip to visit their grandfather Jo, who lived in the eastern Oregon town of Joseph. Their most recent album is I'm Alone, No You're Not.
Originally from coastal Georgia, Liza Anne now makes her home in Nashville and is making a name for herself as an indie artist exploring the genres of rock, folk, and experimental music. She has released two albums, The Colder Months and TWO.
