The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall presents Janis Ian and Tom Paxton in concert on Thursday, April 9, 2015.

These two amazing songwriters and musicians, both icons of their generation, come together to perform some 51 years after they first appeared on the same stage in 1964 at New York City's Village Gate. They still make a remarkable team, with their similar approach to real-life issues and their reputation for being outspoken throughout their careers.

Janis Ian was 13 when she wrote and sang her first single, "Society's Child," in 1965. She won a Grammy award for "At Seventeen" in 1975. Now in her fifth decade of songwriting and performing, Janis Ian has been nominated for Grammies nine times in eight different categories, and won her second Grammy in 2013 for Best Spoken Word Album for her audio book, "Society's Child."

Tom Paxton has been prominent in the folk music and songwriting community since the early 60s.  He has never shied from exposing injustice and the absurdities of modern life. With his origins in the Greenwich Village scene of the 60s, his influence continues 50 years later, as "New Folk" performers look to him for inspiration.

Admission: Tickets are $49 for first four rows and $39 for all remaining rows.
