Jesse Cook, the renowned Canadian guitarist, composer, and producer comes to the Ponte Vedra Concert hall.  Cook is an acclaimed performer that has won multiple awards including the Juno Award, the Canadian Smooth Jazz Guitarist of the Year award (x3), and others.

Jesse Cook was born in Paris and spent the first several years of his life travelling between Paris, the south of France, and Barcelona. His parents, photographer and filmmaker John Cook and television director and producer Heather Cook first sparked Jesse's interest in guitar when they played recordings from famous Gypsy guitarist, Manitas de Plata.

Cook eventually travelled back to Canada with his mother after his parents split up but still visited France, and on these visits he became interested in the "Camargue sound," the rhythmic, flamenco-rumba approach that could be heard on many corners and cafés in the "gipsy barrio". Cook developed his talent throughout school, studying classical and jazz guitar and finally got noticed at the 1995 Catalina Jazz Festival where Cook was allowed to perform on the main stage, where he received a ten-minute standing ovation.

Jesse has released 8 studio albums, with his first one, Tempest, reaching #14 on the American Billboard charts in 1996. His albums Vertigo (1998) and One Night at the Metropolis (2007) have gone gold and platinum, and five more albums have achieved gold selling status. His style is rumba flamenco, which is a type of flamenco music that includes guitars, hand clapping, drums, and percussion. In addition to headlining concerts and festivals, he has opened for such legends as B.B. King, Ray Charles and Diana Krall.
