Singer, songwriter, and entrepreneur, Grant Peeples celebrates the life and work of John Prine with Grant's annual John Prine's Birthday Party on Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Florida Agricultural Museum, 30 minutes south of St. Augustine.
John Prine, singer, songwriter, and record producer, wrote more than 150 songs from the humorous, "In Spite of Ourselves," to the heartbreaking, "Sam Stone." His songs tell stories that resonate with music lovers of all ages and have been covered by many incredible musicians, including Susan Tedeschi, Johnny Cash, Sarah Jarosz, and Roger Waters (of Pink Floyd).
In celebration of John Prine, Grant Peeples will be joined by Bad Dog Mama, Lis and Lon Williamson, Jim Carrick, and ManChild2. Each performer/group will play several of John's songs. Expect one or two numbers by the entire group to end the evening.
Grant's Mullet Food Truck will serve mullet Po Boys from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. to those who wish to purchase dinner before the show.
Admission: $20.00 per person at the door or online. Reserved tables of eight may be purchased through Tuesday, October 8. Bring a chair if you have one. Tickets are available online.
When: Thursday, October 10 from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. The doors open at 5:45 p.m. and the food truck will sell food from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
