(904) 280-0614First Coast Cultural Center (FCCC) presents Lenny Foster's photography exhibit, Where We Stand, from Thursday, February 6 to Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. An opening reception will be on February 6 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Foster's work exemplifies the significance of the African American community, specifically in the Lincolnville neighborhood. His hidden heritage sparked a need to create social awareness of the African American fight for freedom. The artist's photography also features various shoes — representing places where African Americans have stood, sat, and knelt — in the hope of bringing awareness, and possibly, changing the way this group of people has been marginalized throughout American history.
