Limelight Theatre: Crimes of the Heart

Limelight Theatre presents Crimes of the Heart, an award-winning play set in the middle of the 20th century, about three sisters who each have a challenging past. The play runs on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Friday, January 17 through Sunday, February 2. On Sundays, the play is presented at 2:00 p.m. On all other days, the performance starts at 7:30 p.m. 

Beth Henley wrote Crimes of the Heart, Miss Firecracker, and several other plays and films about family life in the American South. Crimes of the Heart is set in a small town in Mississippi where three sisters—Meg, Babe, and Lenny—reunite. All have had difficult lives. During the play, the sisters must cope with serious problems, past resentments, and several unhelpful family members. Each sister has committed a crime of the heart and each is forced to face the consequences. 

Admission:  All general admission tickets are $35.00, except on the Thursday before the first scheduled performance of each production (Preview Night) and on one Tuesday (Terrific Tuesday) when they are $25.00. Student "Rush Tickets" are $10.00, when available, 30 minutes before the curtain.  Box office hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. It is possible to purchase tickets online.

When: From Friday, January 17 through Sunday, February 2. Sunday shows are matinees and start at 2:00 p.m. The performances on all other days start at 7:30 p.m. 

Where: 11 Old Mission Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084. There is free parking behind the theater—enter from Old Mission Avenue and drive to the back to park in the lot on Bernard Street. Use the main entrance.
