The Limelight Theatre will present the Tony-nominated musical Once from September 3 to October 3, 2021. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and at 2 p.m. on Sundays. Preview night is September 2, 2021, and there is a special Terrific Tuesday showing at 7:30 p.m. on September 7, 2021.

Based on the 2007 Oscar-winning film, Once is the achingly beautiful tale of unexpected love between Guy, an Irish musician, and Girl, a Czech immigrant. The uplifting score, featuring the Academy Award-winning single "Falling Slowly," is performed entirely on stage, with the actors doubling as orchestra musicians.

Equal parts touching and inspiring, Once reminds us of music's unique ability to forge deep, unspoken connections in our lives.

A non-profit performing arts organization, Limelight Theatre is committed to entertaining and educating residents and visitors of St. Johns County and North Florida through professional-quality theatrical productions and outreach programs.

The theater offers six to eight productions each season and teaches acting and theater production to students ages 5 to 18 through its KidzfACTory program during the summer and other school breaks.

Admission: Regular admission tickets are $27 for adults, $25 for seniors (65 and over), and $22 for active/retired military, students 12 years and over, and handicapped accessible seating. Tickets are $17 for the Preview Night showing on Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, and the Terrific Tuesday showing on Sept. 7, 2021. Visit here to purchase tickets online.
