The lifelong correspondence between the respectful lawyer Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, a lively and unstable artist portrays the ups and downs, excitements and anxieties of love. Their love unfolds throughout the story to reveal a bittersweet relationship through the words written and the ones left unsaid.
The play was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama in 1988 when it premiered and has since been performed by numerous famous actors including Sissy Spacek, Mel Gibson, Sigourney Weaver and even Elizabeth Taylor and James Earl Jones.

Where? The Raintree Restaurant is located at 102 San Marco Avenue St. Augustine, FL 32084. The dinner and show will take place in the upstairs dining room.
When? Sunday and Thursday night throughout February. Dinner at 6 pm and show at 7 pm. Visitors are asked to arrive by 5:30 pm.
