Friday, Oct. 11, 2024 | 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.

Celebrate live music, a seafood boil, and a great cause at Music on the Matanzas, on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Hosted at Genung's Fish Camp, Music on the Matanzas is a fundraiser for the Matanzas Riverkeeper.

Genung's Fish Camp, at 291 Cubbedge Road, on the bank of the Matanzas River is also the home port of the Matanzas Riverkeeper. From there, Riverkeeper and Executive Director, Jen Lomberk, and Program Director, Silas Tanner, work to help protect the Guana, Tolomato, and Matanzas estuary and watershed and to teach the public about these vital waterways. They offer education to community members, advocate for the protection of this system, and run the Litter Gitter boat which helps volunteers clean trash from our waters.

Music on the Matanzas provides necessary funding for these projects and more. Musician, Mike Cook, will perform for the evening, the Outer Banks Boil Company will provide a seafood boil, and Mother Nature will add to the event with a beautiful sunset over the water.
