In celebration of Black History Month, spend lunch on Wednesday, February 19, hearing how three African American women overcame barriers to reach their career goals.

The three speakers are:

  • Cynthia Garris, City Commissioner of St. Augustine
  • Robin Thomas, Executive Director of Compassionate St. Augustine
  • Nola D. Oracle, CEO, Diaspora Film Productions

Learn how each of these women resisted limitations placed on them and persisted in moving forward. 

The event includes a catered lunch by Heart and Soul Catering.

Admission: $35.00 per person. Reservations are required. To reserve your seat, call (512) 626-4780. You will need to pay for the event with a check made out to AAUW.

Where: The St. Augustine Waterworks is located at 184 San Marco Avenue in St. Augustine's Uptown neighborhood.

While the address is 184 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, Florida 32084, the only driveway on San Marco is Exit Only. Access to the Waterworks is through the St. Augustine Main Library parking lot. (Use 1960 North Ponce de Leon Blvd. in your GPS.)
