Old School Kingfish Shootout 2025

With a mission to "make king fishing great again," the Old School Kingfish Shootout takes place on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Fishing takes place from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with weigh-in beginning at 2:00 p.m. and continuing to 5:30 p.m. at the Vilano Beach Pier. 

Captains will be required to fish between the northern boundary of Fernandina Inlet, and the southern boundary of Ponce Inlet—going no more than three miles from shore. 

This year, the captain's meeting is on Friday, June 13 at 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. at the St. Augustine Fish House and Oster Company.

An awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at the St. Augustine Fish House and Oyster Company. Cash prizes will be awarded and the overall winner will receive a Yellowfin 21′ Bay Boat with a 200 HP 4-Stroke Outboard Engine and an AmeraTrail Trailer, valued at $110,000.

Registration: The entry fee is $250.00 through May 31, 2025, $350.00 through June 12, 2025, and $400.00 on June 13, 2025.

When: The tournament will begin with a captain's meeting at 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025. The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

Where: The captain's meeting and awards ceremony will be held at the St. Augustine Fish House and Oyster Company, located at 160 Boat Nix Road, St. Augustine, Florida. The weigh-in will be held at the Vilano Beach Pier.
