Panic! At The Disco is bringing one of their biggest tours of all time to the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. This hard-rocking punk group founded in 2004 rose to national attention after the release of their song "I Write Sins not Tragedies." Walk The Moon & Youngblood Hawke will open for Panic! At The Disco starting the night off in an indie-rocking way.
Panic! At The Disco was founded by high school friends Ryan Ross, Spencer Smith, Brent Wilson, and Brandon Urie. Their first album, A Fever You Can't Sweat Out, included the smash hit "I Write Sins Not Tragedies." The album ended up double platinum in the United States, marking a new found interest in the band from American audiences.
In 2006, the bands bassist was fired and replaced by Jon Walker. The band's second album, Pretty. Odd came complete with a whole new sound, and contributed to the departure of two of the groups major band members. Brandon Urie and Spencer Smith continued to produce music as a duo band in hopes of continual success as a group.
Their third album, Vices & Virtues, returned to the group's initial style and began production during 2010. The album was released in 2011, and received great reviews ultimately persuading Urie and Spencer to take the album on tour. The band's latest album, Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die!, combines themes of Las Vegas, hard rock, and is rooted in the group's punk-emo nature.
Walk The Moon is an Ohio-based indie-rock band that was formed in the late 2000's. The group members include founder and lead singer Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray (bass/vocals), Sean Waugaman (drums), and Eli Maiman (guitar). Their debut album I Want!, I Want! received raving reviews and led to their signing with record label Mick Management. Their swirly pop beats have appeared on commercials, T.V. shows, and tours with popular bands such as Young the Giant and the Local Natives.
Youngblood Hawke is a Los-Angeles based indie-pop band formed in 2011. The group has performed at South by Southwest, Jimmey Kimmel Live, and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Their debut album Wake Up landed on the iTunes top 10 albums chart, and received great reviews from the Rolling Stone. Their fluid indie-harmonies have been featured in Netflix ad's, Fox sports promotional commercials, and the television show So You Think You Can Dance.
