
Romanza Presents ...
On Monday, May 12, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., the Romanza Festivale presents a concert in their Chamber Music Series with Kimberly Beasley, soprano, and Brian Luckett, guitarist, at Grace United Methodist Church.
A professor at Jacksonville University, Beasley teaches several courses, including opera history and vocal pedagogy. She is known for her ability to sing in all styles and has performed with orchestras and opera companies in Jacksonville, Southwest Michigan, and Chicago.
Luckett is a classical guitarist who has been featured on public radio stations in Minnesota and Atlanta. He tours throughout the U.S. performing in chamber music recitals and as a solo artist.
Their Romanza program includes a selection from the Canciones Españolas Antiguas, Manuel de Falla's Siete Canciones Populares Españolas, and the North Florida debut of Letters from Composers, a song cycle by Dominick Argento. This last work is described as "a cycle of 7 songs for high voice and guitar," and was written in 1968.
