The Flamenco and Gypsy music duo Yael & Gabriel will perform during an outdoor concert at St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
Originally from New York City, Yael & Gabriel have been playing together for the past eight years, developing original arrangements mostly for two acoustic guitars and vocals in nine languages.
Gabriel, a guitarist and composer from Argentina, is the official guitar player for Savion Glover's show, "Solo on Time."
Yael, a French/Israeli vocalist, guitarist and songwriter is the opening act for Latin Grammy Winner, Leo Dan.
The duo plays original compositions as well as diversified styles of Gypsy music ranging from the Gypsy Kings, Russian/Balkan Gypsy music to Django Reinhardt's Gypsy Jazz.
Part of St. Augustine's Romanza Festivale of the Arts, Yael & Gabriel will perform after the Community Drumming event at the Lincolnville Courtyard Concert from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2022.
Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs.
