The St. Augustine Amphitheatre presents Sierra Ferrell on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Sierra Ferrell joins a cadre of select country musicians who seem to come from nowhere but belong every time. She has a distinctive voice, unique writing style, and obvious enjoyment of "classic" music—whether actual old or new songs that pay homage to songs written long ago.
Ferrell traveled widely around the country from West Virginia, playing on street corners and small bars and busking in New Orleans and Seattle. In her debut album, Long Time Coming, Ferrell shares 12 original songs with few boundaries, no gender, and no era. Ferrell said, "I listen to everything from bluegrass to techno to goth metal, and it all inspires me."
Whether singing her own songs or a rendition, such as Neil Young's "Harvest Moon," Ferrell mesmerizes the listener. In 2022, at the Americana Awards, Ferrell was honored with the title "Emerging Artist of the Year."
