A Solo, Acoustic Evening with Richard Thompson

The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, in partnership with Flying Saucer Presents, welcomes renowned folk rock guitarist and songwriter Richard Thompson in an intimate acoustic concert on Thursday, February 16, 2017, at 8:00 p.m.

Richard Thompson has been named one of the Top 20 Guitarists of All Time by Rolling Stone Magazine, and hailed by the Los Angeles Times as "the finest rock songwriter after Dylan and the best electric guitarist since Hendrix." He co-founded the group Fairport Convention as a teenager in the '60s, and is considered the founder of British Folk Rock.

Thompson's prolific songwriting (over 40 albums and numerous soundtracks) have earned him Lifetime Achievement Awards on both sides of the Atlantic. His songs have been performed by a wide range of musicians -- Elvis Costello, Robert Plant, Bonnie Raitt, Los Lobos, David Byrne, and Robert Earl Keen, just to name a few. His mastery of the guitar, both electric and acoustic, and his amazing onstage energy also continue to bring him new fans all over the world.

Admission: Tickets are $56.50 for Rows A - F and $46.50 for all remaining rows.

Where: The Ponte Vedra Concert Hall is located at 1050 A1A North in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Parking Information: Parking will be available onsite. There will be a $5 parking fee for ticketed events and for free events parking will also be free. For events not produced by the St. Johns County Cultural Events Division, parking fees will be at the discretion of the event producer.
