"Someday" Concert for the 50th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act
Classical concert commemorating the anniversary of the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.
Someday is a concert celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Signing of the Civil Rights Act written by Bob Moore, who is the composer-in-residence of the St. Augustine Orchestra. Someday will feature a performance from the acclaimed virtuoso, Thomas Pandolfi.
The Orchestra: This piece will commemorate the Civil Rights Act anniversary with the music of Duke Ellington performed by Bill Prince. Moore wrote this beautiful instrumental piece just for the occasion. Thomas Pandolfi, a world renowned pianist, playing all over the world including Canada, Germany and China, will perform in this orchestra as well. Pandolfi will play the first movement of Griegs Piano Concerto in A minor.
The St. Augustine Orchestra will join the piece playing the music of Beethoven and Brahms, as well as selections from Gershwins Porgy and Bess.
Admission: There is a $2 handling fee per ticket purchase. Tickets will also be available at the door prior to the concert if not already sold out.
Where? Lightner Museum Antique Courtyard located at 25 Granada Street, St. Augustine, FL 32084. (Across the street from Flagler College in downtown St. Augustine).
