Farm Bureau Insurance presents the Spud Run & Cabbage Crawl at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025. This annual event in Hastings celebrates the city's agricultural contributions. Race proceeds benefit agricultural education efforts, such as 4-H, Future Farmers of America, and Farm City Week.
This year's race includes 5K, 10K, and 15K courses, and a Cabbage Crawl kids run. The 5K and 10K courses are USATF-certified and professionally timed and scored. This event is part of Hastings' annual Cabbage, Potato, & Bacon Festival.
Event Schedule
- 6:00 a.m. - Registration/packet pick-up begins
- 7:00 a.m. - 10K start
- 8:30 a.m. - 5K start
- 9:30 a.m. - Fun Run start
(15K participants must be able to start the 10K portion of the race and finish it before the 5K start time to compete in the 15K race.)
