The St. Augustine Film Society showcases an award-winning and nominated screening of the political drama/thriller, Seed of the Sacred Fig (2024) on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Temple Bet Yam.

Written and directed by Mohammad Rasoulof, this foreign film centers around Tehran, Iran's uprising due to a young woman's death. An investigating judge, Iman, becomes paranoid and unlike his usual self once his gun goes missing. As protests intensify, Iman suspects that his wife and daughters have something to do with the stolen gun. Family ties begin to unravel, and fear overcomes all.

Admission: $10.00 for the public. Students and St. Augustine Film Society members are free.
