The St. Augustine Shrine Club will host the Chowder Challenge for Children at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Sunday, February 24, 2019, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Shriners Hospital for Children in Tampa, Florida.
The Chowder Challenge for Children will feature a chowder contest that will include the following categories: New England Clam Chowder, Seafood Chowder, Minorcan Conch Chowder, and Minorcan Clam Chowder. More than 20 restaurants will participate in this event. Judges will select winners in each category, and attendees will be able to cast votes for the People's Choice award.
Admission: FREE. Parking will be $5. Two-ounce samples of chowder samples are $2.00 each.
When: Sunday, February 24, 2019. The Chowder Challenge is from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
Where: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located at 1340 A1A South in St. Augustine, Florida.
