Poltz co-wrote the song, "You Were Meant for Me" with Jewel which became a hit and topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 charts at number two. Poltz got his start in the music industry after college when he met guitarist Robert Driscoll and began playing local coffeehouses in the San Diego, California area. Their band, the Rugburns, formed an amassed a small cult following.
Although Poltz is best known for his hit with Jewel he also tours often and leave audiences wanting more. Poltz is a force to be reckoned with on stage and he often performs without a set list so as to be able to improvise songs according to the mood of the room! Steve Poltz is an energetic performer with amazing songwriting ability!
Donny Brazile is a local Floridian who traveled to LA to make it big in music. After ten years in the LA scene, and opening for bands like the Goo Goo Dolls and Janes Addiction, Brazile pursued a BA and an MA and became a popular professor in Nashville, Tennessee.
Brazile came back to Florida and his music style changed after living in Nashville. He combined the fast-paced rhythms of LA with the heartfelt lyrics of Nashville country to create a new sound. Brazile plays multiple instruments as well as sings. His performances are expressive and dynamic, and always entertaining!
Locals frequent this restaurant not only for its tasty creations but also for the great live entertainment! Visitors can enjoy lively country music from both of these talented country music artists at Café 11.
