Tale Tellers: Tall Tales and True
(904) 540-0402 St. Augustine Waterworks
184 San Marco Ave.
St. Augustine, FL 32084
The St. Augustine Waterworks hosts "Tall Tales and True," featuring two St. Augustine Tale Tellers, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
Drew Sappington (on the left above) and David Fussell are historians and humorists who impart historical tales that stretch the truth—and your imagination. On the first Tale Tellers event in January, Drew and David will blend history with a bit of fiction, and bend the truth into an absurd story or two. A few of these stories (or more) will result in laughter and chuckles from audience members.
The Tale Tellers of St. Augustine was formed in 1993 by local storytelling enthusiasts. Their mission is to pass on and enhance the art of storytelling. With more than 30 members, this group seeks to revive storytelling as an art form and social means of communication through showcases like this one.
