Ultimate Tri

Ultimate Racing Inc. presents the 9th annual Ultimate Tri race on October 20, 2024, beginning at 6:00 a.m. at the Beachwalk community in St. Johns, Florida.

This annual triathlon takes advantage of the Beachwalk lagoon and takes participants through a quarter-mile swim, an eight-mile bike ride, and a 5K run. All participants receive a commemorative shirt and medal, as well as snacks and drinks to keep them energized throughout the race.

Before race day, participants can pick up their race packets on Saturday, October 19th, between 2:30 and 7:00 p.m. at the race venue's transition area. A mandatory pre-race meeting will be held at the beach at 7:25 a.m. on race day.

Transition Area

A marked transition area is provided with individual slots for participants. No bike storage is available the night before. Only registered participants are allowed in the transition area. It opens at 5:30 a.m. and closes at 7:15 a.m.

Swim

The swim portion covers a quarter-mile in the lagoon and starts promptly at 7:30 a.m. Wetsuits are permitted if the water temperature is 78 degrees or lower.

Bike

The bike segment spans eight miles with strict no-drafting rules. Participants must wear hard shell helmets, fastened before leaving the transition area. No headphones or radio devices are allowed. The bike course is open to traffic, and course details may be subject to change due to construction.

Run

 A 3.1-mile run completes the triathlon. Aid stations are available at the beginning of the run, the 1.5-mile mark, and the finish line. No headphones are permitted during the run.
