Exhibition Open - November 1 - December 29, 2013. Gallery closed on Mondays.

The opening reception of the Viva Florida exhibit will feature works celebrating the sights and structures, beaches and byways, flora and fauna, history and happenings that are uniquely Florida. This juried art exhibit celebrates Florida's 500th Anniversary! View the artwork from 5 - 9 pm and awards will be at 7 pm. Stop in during First Friday Artwalk to view the artwork and enjoy the scenes of Florida.

Viva Florida 500 is a statewide initiative led by the Florida Department of State, under the leadership of Governor Rick Scott. The movement's mission is to highlight the 500 years of historic people, places and events in present-day Florida since the arrival of Juan Ponce de Le??n to the land he named La Florida in 1513. Events that tie into the history and culture of the state of Florida become Viva Florida 500th celebratory events. The exhibition does just that by showcasing the land and structures of Florida. For more information on the Viva Florida 500 please visit http://www.vivaflorida.org/.

Call (904) 824-2310 for more information. This exhibit will run through the end of December, but call first, as they may be closed during the holidays.
