Women's March St Augustine will present WOMEN Unite: A Conversation with Dorothy Pitman Hughes at their August chapter meeting on Sunday, August 13, 2017. Renowned activist Dorothy Pitman Hughes will be on hand to listen to the concerns of the community at this meeting, which is free and open to the general public. It will take place from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center.

Dorothy Pitman Hughes is a feminist, African-American activist, child-welfare advocate, public speaker, and author, as well as a pioneering African-American small business owners and mother of three daughters. She co-founded Ms. Magazine, organized the first shelter for battered women in New York City, and co-founded along with her good friend Gloria Steinem the Women's Action Alliance in 1971.

At this meeting, Ms. Hughes will be open to questions and comments from the community to learn where her guidance is most needed.

Admission: Free and open to the general public.

When: Sunday, August 13, 2017, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

Where: The Lincolnville Museum and Cultural Center is located at 102 Martin Luther King Blvd. in St. Augustine FL 32084.
