ZZ Top at St. Augustine Amphitheatre

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre welcomes ZZ Top on Friday, March 14, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.

ZZ Top ("That Little Ol' Band from Texas") lay undisputed claim to being the longest running major rock band with its original lineup intact. Billy F. Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard united in 1969, drawing from their roots in American rock and blues. Their third album, Tres Hombres, released in 1973, featured the hit "La Grange," which catapulted them to national fame.

Despite Dusty Hill's passing in 2021, the band continues to honor his memory and their shared legacy, with Hill's guitar tech, Elwood Francis, joining them on bass to carry forward their tradition and sound. 

ZZ Top's distinct imagery—complete with beards, classic cars, and a unique flair—made them a perfect fit for the early days of MTV. Their impressive catalog of hits includes classics like "Gimme All Your Lovin'," "Sharp Dressed Man," and "Legs." Having sold millions of records, ZZ Top has been officially recognized as Heroes of the State of Texas. In 2004, Keith Richards inducted ZZ Top into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Admission: Ticket prices range from $45.00 to $130.00. Tickets can be purchased online or at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Box Office, open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Parking Information: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre is located on Anastasia Island next to Anastasia State Park. Limited paid parking is available in the St. Augustine Amphitheatre Main Lot, but only with advance purchase of a Premium Parking ticket. Free satellite parking areas are located within one mile of the Amphitheatre, at R.B. Hunt Elementary, and at Anastasia State Park (see map below).

Shuttle Information: The St. Augustine Amphitheatre shuttle system begins its run 45 minutes before show time. The shuttle will pick up event patrons at four designated shuttle stops: the R.B. Hunt Elementary School Soccer Field, the west entrance of the Anastasia State Park Main Parking Lot, the Loop at the Anastasia State Park, and the opening of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre. Shuttles will run continuously until approximately 45 minutes after the scheduled start time of a concert. For anyone wanting to leave before a show's end, shuttles will take people back to the satellite parking areas one hour before the event is over. The driver will not depart the Amphitheatre until the shuttle is more than 50% full.
