Cordova Hotel
Cordova Hotel
Looking east, this is the Cordova Hotel (now the Casa Monica Hotel) at the corner of King and Cordova Streets. Built in 1887 by Franklin Smith and named Casa Monica, the hotel was soon acquired by Henry Flagler who renamed it the Cordova. The hotel closed in 1932 and later served as the county court house for 30 years. It re-opened in 1999 with its original name and grandeur restored.
