The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn
Elizabeth Fravel, Kathryn Belle Long, and Holly Riley created an acoustic trio that honors their aventursome spirits.
The group 'The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn' is named for an audacious fictional character. The name, 'Annabelle Lyn' is a blend of their three middle names, and this heroine shares some of the trio's own adventures and dreams. This is abundantly clear when one listens to "How it Feels to Be Free."
While The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn perform some acoustic covers, many songs in their act are their own compositions. With backgrounds in theater, jazz, blues, bluegrass, and classic country, the band creates songs that swing from one genre to another: here's a bit of jazz, there's a claw hammer banjo riff, and there's the plaintive tone of heartbreak in Delta blues style.
All three musicians are accomplished singers, whether singing solo or in harmony with the others. Kathryn Belle Long performs on acoustic guitar and ukulele; Elizabeth Fravel plays the upright bass; and Holly Riley plays fiddle, banjo, and mandolin.
Based in Tallahassee, The Adventures of Annabelle Lyn have toured the Southeast, singing their songs — songs that are clearly personal and yet have universal appeal.
