Not just another classic rock cover band, the members of The Bad Endings have impressive music resumes, mad skills, and a perpetual joy in what they do. Rick Livingstone, Mark Hoyt, and Jimmy Sexton delight their audiences with their set lists and their musicianship.

Mark, Jimmy, and Rick are solid representatives of hard-working professional musicians who have performed on stage with big name musicians and bands. They've also been session artists and worked in the music industry in other capacities. All now live in Northeast Florida and have formed The Bad Endings.

Mark Hoyt has been called one of the finest keyboardists in the business. He has an impressive background performing as a session artist and on stage with several musicians, such as Glenn Huges from Deep Purple, and Mickey Thomas from Starship. Mark is now also a member of Mark Farner's American Band, led by Mark Farner of the Grand Funk Railroad.

Jimmy Sexton, from Jacksonville, has performed with members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, members of the Allman Brothers Band, and other well-known bands in the industry. A few years ago he traveled the U.S. with Southern Rock Legends.

Rick Livingstone, originally from Canada, moved to California in the late 1980s and performed extensively as a session musician and in a house jam band. A singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Rick was lead vocalist and frontman with The Best, a supergroup that included Jeff Baxter, Joe Walsh, John Entwhistle, Keith Emerson, and Simon Phillips. After a career as a producer and television music editor, Rick retired to St. Augustine.

The Bad Endings performs occasionally as a duo with Mark and Rick, more often as a trio, and sometimes adds Tommy Gilstrap on bass and Derek Hess on drums. Whether two or five, the group rocks, nails each solo, and offers a fun time for folks who love rock and yacht rock.
