Belle and the Band
Kathryn Belle Long, of Belle and the Band, passed away in May of 2023.
We were very sorry to hear that Kathryn Belle Long, songwriter, singer, and the "Belle" of Belle and the Band, passed away in May of 2023. We send our sympathy and caring to Kathryn's family and to her musician friends.
Kathryn Belle Long, Mickey Abraham, Kevin Robertson, and Mike Snelling combine to bring masterful songwriting, experienced vocalists, and some of Florida's most accomplished musicians to create Belle and the Band. This group regularly performs at a number of Florida's most loved folk festivals, where their eclectic sound brings a fresh perspective to the genre.
At the root of their music, are their songs, which have been described as having "worldly themes." In 2016, Belle and the Band wrote the theme song for WFSU's Local Routes program and won a Suncoast Regional Emmy for the song.
