A six-member band country and honky-tonk band on stage

Cade and the Palmetto Kickers

If you like the music of Waylon, George, Earl, and Hank, then you'll like this band.

Cade and the Palmetto Kickers are known for playing honky-tonk and familiar country songs with enthusiasm. They embody honky-tonk with a bit of humor and a whole lot of fun.

This generally six-piece, guitar-heavy band includes frontman, Cade Clayton, on guitar and lead vocals; Shane Copeland on guitar, banjo, and vocals; Sebastian Sky Shattles on guitar and vocals; Jordan Bosserman on drums, a tall bearded gentleman on stand-up bass, and Jim Mcmanus on the pedal steel.

They are a country band that focuses on honky-tonk music and they play songs by Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, George Jones, and Waylon Jennings, plus older songs, such as "Truck Drivin' Man," written and recorded by Terry Fell, and covered by everyone from Buck Owens to Glen Campbell, Willie Nelson, Leon Russell, the J. Geils Band, and now, Cade and the Palmetto Kickers.

Most of the band is from the Lake City area with a strong following in North Central Florida. More recently, they've been booked for country music nights and at country music venues in St. Johns County.
